Homework Response #3 "Nike’s Chief of Design Doodles All Day"

Being the head of a designing department of a major company means you need to be able to spark up big ideas and creative plans almost every day. As it is for being a designer for a shoe company, like Nike, means your designs must be beneficial to both the company, and it's buyers. In this article,  the Chief of Design at Nike, John Hoke speaks in a interview about how he does his work that involves creating shoes, and making a wonderful career with his workers including his passable struggle with dyslexia.
I believe this man has much potential despite his struggles as a dyslexic person, he is able to go beyond abilities to even think of the most bizarre ideas that may not even be possible.

(Y'know I didn't even finish typing my response but I'm uploading what I have.)

Homework #2 "Niels Diffrient rethinks the way we sit at work"

(I kept being dragged into another video completely off topic. But, I watched the video finally after finding it.)

"Design legend Niels Diffrient talks about his life in industrial design (and the reason he became a designer instead of a jet pilot). He details his quest to completely rethink the office chair starting from one fundamental data set: the human body. "- https://www.ted.com/talks/niels_diffrient_rethinks_the_way_we_sit_at_work

The TED Talk video talks about a creator, Niels Diffrient, who experienced the struggles of having a goal in a career. Niels is the creator of the Freedom and Liberty Chairs. His career had originally been designing airplanes, not chairs. The idea of his chair has changed many lives throughout modern work times, it has been beneficial for those who struggle with being comfortable while working, for those who can't sit properly in regular chairs, and is great for it's ergonomic structure. I feel as if this career choice was best for him, rather than working for planes and jets, only because he probably would have made things too comfortable for people and... Yeah.

Homework Response 9/13/19

(Doing this late.)

How to Ruin a Great Design is an article that explains the idea of how eye popping designs can be badly looked into, because of how poorly they are made. The article tells about how the design of different signs and logos can be easily dismissed because of how poorly they are made. Big logos like McDonalds, or maybe other brightly colored designed logos will easily catch a person's eyes because it is interesting and makes you grow a specific feeling. For me, looking at the color red would make me want something, usually red is associated with food companies or festivity so it draws in people to want to be interested. Dull or boring colors would make me turn away and not realize they are even there, I wouldn't want to be interested in something that was plainly pink or brown.

First Day

This is one of my personal drawings from March 2019. Not one of my very best drawings but... It was available within my Drive at the moment. uwu

  • I have some sort of computer experience working with cyber security, programming, digital drawing, and gaming.
  • I hope to get major game creation experience, a more improved illustration skills, and a ton of knowledge and abilities to start creating my own game.
  • I do not have, professional, experience within either of the Photoshop or Illustrator programs. I would only have "Photoshop Express" on my phone, i use it for filters on my drawings but that is pretty much it.
  • I have an old Windows 7 computer at home, it does not have any of the programs for Adobe, besides Adobe Flash.
  • I use PC, this would be my first time using a Mac computer in my life.
  • I hope to finally create my 12 year old cartoon series and put it into action with skills in game design and animation.
  • I have many many favored artists on various sources like Instagram and Tumblr, but honest to say my favorite would have to be myself. (If myself is not a valid option, then rather it be Tyson Hesse, animator for the Sonic Mania animated shorts.)
  • There are too many favored musicians of mine, spreading throughout death metal to indie and rock. Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco is my favorite musician.
  • Interesting facts about me in the most butchered explanation possible: I am a traditional and digital artist on Instagram, video games are a huge passion and part of my life, I have a 12 year old cartoon series in the making with over 259 characters and growing, I absolutely hate taking pictures that aren't mine, I will one day create an army and annihilate those who steal and trace art or claim art that isn't theres.
    • I am a HUGE fan of:
      • Sonic The Hedgehog
      • Persona 5
      • Anime
      • Marvel Comics
      • Horror movies
      • Gaming
      • Japanese, Irish and German culture
      • Greek Mythology
      • Fan-fiction writing
      • Memes
  • 5 line story?... I'll write whatever comes to mind. Sorry.
    • Stan Lee is a legendary god, no one can tell me otherwise, I refuse to let anyone degrade this man. Keanu Reeves is the most wholesome, and sweetest man on Earth. Ryan Reynolds is the funniest anti-hero known to man, I'm glad he left the Green Lantern for Wade Wilson. Yuji Naka is my role model and one day I will be able to shake his hand for being the best person I've grown looking up to. Uhm, I type how I talk, so, there will be many unprofessional errors in anything that I write.
